GDAO Ready For 2009 

The George Dummigan Accordion Orchestra have been getting in some valuable practice sessions in preparation for the 2009 season. With the first few dates in the season now confirmed George has been keen to get the members together as much as possible over the winter months.

A few new faces will make their debuts this year as the 'wee' Orchestra from Larne continues to attract attention all over Northern Ireland and beyond.

Last year the Accordion Orchestra was out and about at some top venues across the country, with performances at Lord & Lady Dixon Park, Belfast Castle, and Carnfunnock Country Park to name a few. This year will see performances from the Orchestra in some new venues, including the well known tourist attraction Belfast Zoo.

The Accordion Orchestra from Larne has also added has also added a few new faces to their ranks, all of whom are highly experienced players who have played in some of the top accordion bands in Northern Ireland. The Orchestra will also boast a few new instruments this year, with a op of the range keyboard added to the range on show. The keyboard will be played by an existing orchestra member and is sure to add something extra to the orchestras performances.
